FESTIVAL BASICS
An all-volunteer, hands-on festival!

Where: Race Street between Elm and Main (Saturday only), AND in various locations in downtown Urbana on both days. Parking is available throughout downtown Urbana and in the Lincoln Square parking lot.
When: The festival begins on Friday, September 25th at 5pm and the last act takes the stage at midnight on Saturday, September 26th.
Cost: An all-event wristband costs 15 dollars and children 12 and under are free. Cover charges for individual concerts/performances/dances are 3 to 10 dollars. IMC and Iron Post cover will be 10 dollars a night (so save $ and buy a wristband!). Many events are free of charge. Check the schedule for a complete listing of free events (events marked with *).

*A wristband entitles the wearer to attend all festival events. Children under the age of 12 are free! Individuals without wristbands can attend individual events and pay at the door (between 3 and 10 dollars depending on event). Wristbands purchased after September 17th will be available Will Call at the information tent.
Food/drink: Food and drink will be available at downtown Urbana establishments. Water and porta-potties will be available on Race Street on Saturday.
Directions: Downtown Urbana is easily found off I-74. Exit at Cunningham Ave (Rte. 45) and proceed southbound. Cunningham turns to Vine Street after you cross University Avenue. Continue south 3 blocks to Main Street. Turn right (west) on Main St. and park on the street, in the city parking garage on Broadway, or continue south on Vine St. and park in the large Lincoln Square lot.

FESTIVAL SCHEDULE NOW AVAILABLE
The First Annual Champaign-Urbana Folk and Roots Festival announces its performance and event schedule for September 25th and 26th in and around downtown Urbana! Featuring old-time, bluegrass, blues, conjunto, Cajun and Creole, Irish music, storytelling and more, this all-volunteer-run festival will feature over 70 outstanding artists and performers. Highlights include alt-country singer-songwriter Robbie Fulks, champion Irish fiddle player Liz Carroll, Los T-Birds (a fabulous conjunto band), Dennis Stroughmatt & Creole Stomp, Tango Nero, the Prairie Dogs, New Orleans Jazz Machine, Illinois Rail bluegrass band, Kilborn Alley, the Corn Desert Ramblers and much more, as well as dances, workshops, jam sessions, an open stage, and family activities. New events are being added daily. Click here for the most recent schedule as well as times, locations and costs. All-event wristbands are available on-line or at the door for 15 dollars. Children under 12 and many events are free, thanks to sponsors such as the City of Urbana and the Urbana Business Association. This is an indoor-outdoor festival, so come out with your friends, family and instruments and join the fun rain or shine!
